TV Drama Spooks - representation of ethnicity

In this scene we can see many ethnicities that are portrayed differently.

We can clearly see that the antagonists of violence are of an arab background. This is a typical stereotype in media to represent arabs as anti social, primal, less civalized because they tend to refer to arabs like this seeing as they are known for not being as up to date with their technology. They've used dark lightening amongst the arabs to portray them as the vilains as darkness connotates having no soul, being cold and murderous. However when it came to the British born spy who has a white background, they shine some light on her to make her seem slightly more angelice and more of a vicitim so its contrasts the difference between the positions the characters are in.
The fast cuts from the camera to the antagonists finger straight to his face is used to create a fast pace and more sharp to create a sort of deadly atmosphere as if death is coming fast for these to victims.
